When I saw the Spring's collection by Jean Paul Gaultier, a delightful world built around that mysterious creature called butterfly, I tried to define haute couture, and I could hardly found the words to explain what it means to me. It is the fashion's queen, hours of work that become clothes into authentic masterpieces. When you stare at those magnificient models with their feline walking, you are not thinking about wearing those pieces of art. Even if you can afford them, when would you find the perfect occasion for them? Then, what is the sense of haute couture, if you can never wear those wonderful outfits? Art is the only argument that support these precious handmade creations, as beautiful as useless.
